A self-timer photo because I was really feeling my outfit, from a really wonderful day I spent on my first solo vacation to California. Later that day this project got rejected.

I started Pass/Fail— an online publication in June of 2018. I currently serve as editor and creative director.

People seem to think that success is achieved along a linear path; that’s there’s a pre-fab route from Point A to Point B that you follow to get exactly what you want in life. But the most successful people I know are the ones who are comfortable with failure: the ones who have turned a rejection, a loss, a bump in the road, into gold. The people who know that, to achieve any measure of success, you must first define what that means for YOU. That’s why I started Pass/Fail and why I still love it today.

If you have a story about failure or success, or your relationship to both: I’d love to hear it. Email me at hello@chelsealainefrancis.com.
