It's a new month, y'all! And that means it's time for a new set of goals! While I was away the thing people asked about most were these goal posts and I'm so excited to be back at it for June! The past few months have been a huge learning experience for me in all areas of my life. Personally, I've been doing a lot of work to set boundaries + begin to practice targeted self care. Professionally, I re-evaluated and re-branded this website and began planning future goals for this business of mine. I also changed the format of the #ATXconnectionmixer to be more inclusive and accessible and I planned all the mixers through the end of the year, including a super special Christmas party that I'm beyond excited about. Romantically, Tucker and I are planning a big getaway to our favorite place in the world for our 10 year dating + 5 year wedding anniversary. We've also almost paid off our credit card in the meantime.
When I made my goals for June I wanted to focus on continuing to grow aspects of my life that were already moving forward! Here's what I came up with!
1) Start rebuilding my wardrobe to maximize my personal style thanks to Feel Good, Dress Better-- a new workbook by my friend Nicole of Writes Like a Girl.
I'm so excited about this one + I'll be blogging a little more about it next week, but spoiler: I've developed a phrase for my personal style and it is incredible.
2) Launch my rebrand!
Yeah, yeah! I know it's already launched, but it was THE BIG goal for this month.
3) Try a meditation/prayer combo to be more present!
I'm trying to enjoy life more and that includes being centered with myself and looking inward. So I'm going to give Headspace a shot.
4) Unplug more!
After reading this article and talking a lot with my therapist, I was reminded that life happens in the real world and I don't want to miss out on it because I'm too focused on my phone. We're all guilty of it, and I want to fix it. I've started doing this already by simply asking myself whether or not I want to be on my phone. It's really helping y'all!
5) Clean for 20 minutes daily!
Y'all, I am not a tidy person, but I'm trying to learn. This seems to be a practical way to get ahead and get organized.
