During the first 48 hours of the new year Tucker and I packed up our things and moved across the country. Well half of it.
I'm writing to you from our new home in Austin, TX.
We are staying with friends for a couple of weeks until we find our own place. It's all still super surreal that we actually did it. We've accomplished something we've wanted to do for close to two years. It just doesn't feel real. On New Year's Eve I told my best friend that the last time I remember feeling this bewildered by my own life was the day Tucker and I were married. But that was real and so was this. We did it, you guys! We really did.
I'm excited to share this next year with you, because I honestly don't know what it entails. It's going to be a wild ride and I couldn't be happier to be on it. As part of my New Year's goals (there are many, and I'll be writing a blog about it later) I will be shooting photos that tell a story everyday. Many of them will end up here, and likely tell our bigger story of settling into a new community.
Overjoyed to share the first one with you now!
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped us move! The people pictured in this blog post are some of the finest human being you will likely ever have the pleasure of meeting. I am so grateful for my time in Virginia because of them. They made our last days in Lynchburg rich and on top of that they helped us leave well. Thank you hardly suffices. We love you guys!
Until next time!
